ABOUT US
Created in 2018 with the support of the Human Resources department of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the IOC Music Club brings together some 20 colleagues around their shared passion for music.
While some of the members use the music room to practise their instruments or have lessons, others play together in a band, The Courbertines, the musical revelation of 2023.
THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT US
“Auch in Lausanne wird die neue Allianz zwischen Popmusik, Skater-Halfpipe und Yoga Sessions mit großem Aufschlag formiert. Zum Museums-Jubiläum spielt ganz locker die hauseigene IOC-Coverband The Courbertines und Belegschaft und Funktionäre tanzen. Der Weg nach Paris 2024 ist bereitet.”
Rolling Stone Magazine
“The Olympic Museum, located in the Olympic Capital of Lausanne, has welcomed nearly six million visitors since its opening on 23 June, 1993. To mark its 30 anniversary, the official birthday celebration took place in person on 24 June 2023 with a full programme of activities [...] The anniversary was also marked on Olympic Day by a performance of the “Coubertines”, the IOC Music Club’s musicians.”

Meeting renowned French composer Victor Le Masne
During one of our rehearsals, we had the pleasure to welcome a special guest: Victor Le Masne, whose compositions for the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony captivated global audiences!
He notably composed Parade, the official musical theme of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“It's not the notes you play. It's the notes you don't play.”
